Turtle organic cotton bags are certified under the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), which means no chemical pesticides or fertilisers are used in the production of the fabric and farmers must work under safe conditions with an agreed minimum wage.
 
Turtle Bags put human rights at the top of their agenda, are registered importers with BAFTS and as such commit to the 10 Principles of Fair Trade Organisations.

THE STORY OF TURTLE BAGS
Way back in 2001 when plastic bags were still spilling off the end of our supermarket tills, Turtle Bags was established to raise awareness of the hazards of plastic bags and to sell alternatives.

Plastic in our seas is invisible to most of us in our daily lives but is causing problems and for many decades will be disrupting food chains and suffocating sealife.

Turtle Bags work with fair trade partners who share their environmental values to supply environmentally friendly bags.
